Wise Guy replied: "From my short stints in the USA, I thought many of the church folks are highly educated with their pile of PH.D. degrees among them, how can you say they are not mildly educated?". "Well, for people got their PH. D. in theology or for folks grew up with Christianity, I can understand their enthusiasm in Christianity. But talking about many of the Chinese born PH.D.s, I really don't think over 50% of them have attempted to be educated in US or European history enough to teach their kids at elementary school level. If they accept such ignorance level about Chinese culture, would you consider they've made the right choice when trying to preach Buddhism, Taoism or a cult believe to you? They just resent Chinese history and culture so much because they have lived in the environment for too long, a kind of like feeling themselves have been stuck in the mud for too long. Then they see grasses are greener in another pastures and thought it was indeed better. But that other pasture is just another puddle of mud to be found out, once they stick around for a little longer. What the hell, just follow the local customs 入乡随俗. It won't hurt anything and there is always religious freedom in everybody's heart.". "I bet you did that too." Wise Guy said. "You are just the follow-customs kind of guy, aren't you? What do you really believe anyways?" "Well, what I really believe does not matter a bit" Answered David: "But I just feel how Christianity and gospel is preached among Chinese immigrants is quite funny. Since many Chinese immigrants of our generation have strong educational background in math, chemistry and physics, preachers like to dangle names like Newton and Einstein or some well branded named theories to attract converts. But often, I found those preachers did not study physics very well, worse than I have done, just like they did with European history and culture of the West. When religious people got the 'big bang' theory in their hands, they started using it to prove that God truly exist and the beginning of that big bang is the moment of creation. Of course, you know atheists like Stephen W Hawking got hold of the theory of relativity, they used it to prove there is no place and no purpose for a creator in the universe, or if there had ever been one, the creator simply created the universe and left it along. This is similar to when socialists got hold of Darwinism, they were convinced species survive better if they were species capable of socializing. And when capitalists got hold of Darwinism, they insisted that strong individualism would fair better in the 'survival of the fittest' competition better than other weaker and 'isms' and ideas. If the preachers are good students of relativity and quantum effects, miracles should be explained like this. We see a young people grows old as age weighs on that person, as we see a glass fall onto the ground and break into pieces, but we never see the reverse of any of the above events happening. First it appeared that there is certain divine intervention propelling things moving from past to present to future. The direction from orderly state to chaotic state always coincides with the direction of the time. But believing in the quantum explanation of the second law of thermodynamic, a perfect glass is just one possible state of the glass, while broken glasses will be the more probably and more likely states of that same glass. We don't see the broken glass jump onto the table and become a perfect glass just because the probability is too small for a glass to jump up and become perfect glass again. It does not mean such probability does not exist -- "all is relative". A healthy person is just one state of a person. The possibility for a person to turn into a more disarrayed, disarranged and imperfect being is much larger. Over time, a perfectly healthy person will turn into a pile of dust physically and spiritually, just follow the direction of moving towards larger probability. A defenseless baby is only one possible state of a human being. And the more possible state is for the weak one to grow stronger, therefore that will be the likely state for the being as time passes. But that was just a fleeting moment in the long life process of this person, when looking at that weak person growing into adults and then a senior. If looking at the long time span of that being, over a much longer period of time, whether a person's time is mostly spent in heaven or hell, is quite irrelevant.
