"Do you remember how Chinese mainstream media used to predict how the Chinese culture was dying along with the Yellow River in the documentary film 河殇 right around the year of 1989? The documentary film showed how a nation with statues used to face foreigners with smiles changed into a nation with statues no longer wearing upturn corners on the mouths. The changes pretty much coincided with the periods of rebuilding of the Great Wall among dynasties as those pseudo-archeologists said. It seemed like with the Great Wall surrounding a country often made the place into a closed system with increasing entropies.

Do you remember how the Chinese in our generation used to believe that Chinese culture as we knew it was probably truly aged? We idolized western culture and western style democracy, even sometimes treating some garbage as best body nutrition like bread and butter. Well, in the last two decades we have witnessed Chinese wanted to give up Chinese medicine, Chinese national symbol -- dragon, and even wanted to gradually abandon Chinese, arguing it was not suitable or stimulating for the development of science and technology?

In the last two years, I have started to learn that the four word idioms in Chinese were in one of the best formats to help repetition and enhance human memories, based on my limited trainings in educational theories as a teacher. Now, I have just found Chinese is at least in several aspects very advantageous in information technology. It is very easy to plug in modules or objects like in Object Oriented programming languages and it is very efficient in space consumptions too.
